About EmpowerHer
Our Mission
We are a female student-powered team on a mission to break down barriers and ignite a passion for computer science in girls from under-resourced communities.
Our Approach
EmpowerHer is a non-profit dedicated to equipping girls with the tools and support they need to thrive in STEM careers from a young age. We believe in empowering girls to rise above and get ahead by focusing on two key areas:
- Developing essential soft skills: Through engaging virtual workshops, we equip girls with the communication, networking, and collaboration skills crucial for success in any field.
- Navigating the STEM landscape: We offer insightful virtual webinars featuring leading industry professionals. These sessions provide girls with a clear understanding of diverse career pathways within STEM and the opportunity to learn directly from accomplished role models.
- Beyond STEM: We recognize the importance of holistic support for all girls. We provide technical resources and comprehensive guidance to underprivileged girls around the globe. We help them connect the dots between financial independence and career choices, empowering them to make informed decisions for their future.
- Connecting Aspiring Minds: At the heart of EmpowerHer lies our vibrant online community. Here, girls from all backgrounds connect, share experiences, and support one another on their journeys. This community fosters a sense of belonging and provides access to a wealth of opportunities.
